Biography
Amber Moore is a female percussionist from Monroe, Louisiana.
She has a Bachelor's of Music degree in Instrumental Performance from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She studied privately under Larry Anderson and Dr. Mel Mobley.
AMBER began playing drums at the age of seven and her passion for music has continued to grow ever since.
EXPERIENCE
Amber performed as the principal melodic percussionist in the Louisiana District 1 Honor Bands for six consecutive years (2003-2009). At the University of Louisiana at Monroe Amber has performed with the Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Sound of Today Marching Band, Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, University Chorale, Dance Repertory Ensemble, and the ULM Opera Scenes. Amber has traveled not only throughout the United States but across the world performing as a percussionist and experiencing music. In 2010 Amber spent her summer playing in drum circles in Malawi, Africa. She did music therapy work in China during the winter of 2010-2012. Amber marched and led a group of drummers in the 2013 St. Patrick's Day Parade of Dublin, Ireland. She also performed in the St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland and played for the Lord Mayor of Limerick. Amber performed Latin percussion in Padre Ramos, Nicaragua in 2016.
ABOUT
During her free time, Amber enjoys tap dancing, boxing, arranging music, and recording videos for social media content. While being a versatile percussionist, Amber specializes in melodic, hand, and World percussion.
Amber performed as a Comedic Drumming Lifeguard in The Bellyflops cast through Colony Point Creative at Wild Adventures in Valdosta, Georgia and a Comedic Drumming Zombie in the Howl-O-Scream Zombeats cast at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. Amber played Bodhrán in the Ireland Kilarney Village Band at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg for the Christmas, Winter, and Mardi Gras seasons. She also was the Actress/MC for JMMD's Busker Jam and Atomic Mass shows at Carowinds in Charlotte, NC during the Spring season. Amber Was the Drummer/MC for JMMD's Funline Drumline at Valley Fair in Minneapolis, MN over the Summer of 2022. Amber Moore is known for her stage presence and way with the audience both with and without a mic. Amber loves performing and bringing a smile to people's face.
